Of the new season lull lull lull lull. I'm sure some people will see this and freak out as for whatever reason they never adapted to the new series :(

I have been super busy that I been falling behind on making trailers and promoting the show which is really really bad as the success and further continuation depends on people watching it! Anyway, go watch it, go tell a friend to watch it and then watch it again!

edit: Silly me thinking people would be clever enough to go to my website! Heres a link to all the episodes: http://www.urealms.com/episodesseason1 .html

I got Castle Crashers because I'm a good newgrounder and though "Hey lots go play toms fun game that I can't pay on my PC so I have to go play on my xbox I never ever ever ever use". Someone I played it... then played Braid.... then half a dozen games later I find myself in a Halo3 matchmaking system yelling at the game because random nades keep hitting me from WHO knows where that weren't even aimmed at me.

Why am I such a consumer whore?

The 4th episode of Unforgotten Realms is now out on Escapist! For the love of god go and watch it, then get your friend to watch it, then make your mother watch it who will get mad at you for watching an internet video with swears, who will then complain about it and get it on the news because I need this to do well so I don't have to go back to tech support! So digg it, comment on it, goto my website, buy me a beer or if your gonna do anything just watch it and enjoy it! Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I know I don't exactly make flash movies on newgrounds anymore but it's more or less because I have expanded to using more than just flash! The new Unforgotten Realms can been seen now on The Escapist every other Thrusday! (psst sorry Tom they pay me monies ;_;)

Episode Four comes out this Thrusday!

Now although this may look like I'm mindlessly plugging my new cartoon which I totally am, I just wanted to give a big thanks to Newgrounds because honestly I was never an animator, writer or voice actor until Newgrounds came around. Now mind you I hardly consider myself any of these jobs but since I legally get paid to do them... High Five for making silly cartoons as a profession. Take that firemen!

Advice for you young children submitting your work to Newgrounds?

Be original, be funny and your score means very little in reality. The first ever UR cartoon I submitted had less then a 3.4 after the first month it came out. It wasn't even a 4 till the fan bois bumped it up almost half a year later. If you make a cartoon without floppy penises, sprites, nintendo/sega characters, or rip off ego raptor AWESOMENESS then you should look at your score and double it in your head. Nice work ace, you get my seal of approval. In fact go ahead and write you got my seal of approval to make your cartoon. In fact here have the seal (=S=). Sure it might look like a cheap seal but that bitch cost me at least 20 bucks if I remember right.

Expand your work. Flash is a fantastic tool but when you combine it with other programs you can greatly get away with your animations. I have zero natural drawing ability but I fake it pretty well nowadays. There are websites that will sell you cheap royalty free music, cheap special effect overlays, cheap sound effect library. Invest in them. I know you can search the web to find that gunshot sound everyone uses in there movies but in the 45 minutes you spend searching you could have instantly taken a sound effect from your source and saved a ton of time and have a better overall quality production.

Once you have your idea, ignore the haters. If you honestly think what you got is something good, Roll with it because it will only get better. All you need to do is get one good idea to start an animation with and your golden. Take something that you know and even apply real life experiences to the mix. Do a show about developers of video game companies and there wacky antics, a show about Cats that are really big in to politics. Take what you know and apply it. Big on movies? Use it. Watch a lot of anime? Appeal to that crowd.

And for god sakes, don't give up. This crap is hard. A lot of people will insult you. People are going to tell you that the second episode of your show sucked and then there gonna say the third is even worst. Your going to spend 8 hours animating only to have your PC crash and restart. Your going spend 3 months on a cartoon to only then scrap it and say "This isn't any good". Your going hate lip syncing and want to cheat (I do and always will). Your going to drink caffeine like you have a Soda Transfusion (I drink two cases a week, I will die before I'm 40 most likely). You will fail 100 times and even then you are not guaranteed one good movie. You will suck, people will tell you that you suck but you will get better because thats life. If you see someones movie and you think it sucks, tell them it sucks because by doing that you are helping them. Don't be a pussy and say "Nice try, I'm sure your next one will be better", that shit doesn't help. When everyone tells you that you suck, BAM you get better. This applies for everything you do in life not just animating.

Playing Super Smash Brothers with your friend and he picks Donkey Kong? Tell that little punk he sucks and to pick someone else.

Your brother makes a Peanut Butter Sandwitch but uses Whole Wheat bread? Tell bitch face to make it on white because only sucky people eat whole wheat.

If everyone tells you that you suck. Get better and show thoses bitches who sucks now. Thats right. Their mother sucks.

Thanks for the experience, the exposure and the career Newgrounds.

Quick Edit: Am I leaving Newgrounds? Well Yes and No. Sadly I don't really animate much with flash as much as I use too and my time is really spread thin. However newgrounds has been on my favorites toolbar since I was 14 and I have an almost always will come back here now an again. I'll try to keep updates to the show up on the News thing here but man I'm so bad at updating things.

New Unforgotten Realms!

All the flash and dash of newgrounds is pretty cool but unfortunely as an author of Newgrounds I am pretty much done with just straight flash projects.

If you followed any of my Unforgotten Realms series, it should be pretty clear that I love all the guys of Newgrounds here and think this is a fantastic site but because my cartoons are slowly going from hobby to business, I'm not exactly sure I can keep Newgrounds a home for my work in the future. Flash is a very fickle problem and I have started more and more to move away from using flash or just flash, making movies in AVI formats is a lot easier to sync sounds and allows me to use editing techniques I can't do in flash or rather can't do as easy and while I would love to be able to keep my series and upcoming series on Newgrounds, it might not just be a possibility if the final output of the movie isn't a .swf file.

I'll say it again so as people don't assume I'm trying to take a hit at Newgrounds but I love this site. I have been coming here since I was underaged and there was a cool disclaimer that I would have to click to come here. When the best game on the internet was Teletubbies and blowing people up with a UFO. However, as much as I love Newgrounds, theres a bit I dislike. It was pretty frustrating to see Splash Attack doing better then anything else I have ever created on this website. It's great splash attack got some attention but I mean a movie I literally spent 3 hours on getting the attention I would die for my series to get just kinda hurts my will to want to continue producing a .swf series for Newgrounds. I mean hey theres a ton of fans that love it and all but I mean I just can't see myself trying to be extremely devoted to releasing free content on Newgrounds when the major community of the website doesn't really like the cartoon.

If you follow any of my work you may have saw what happened when I submitted my first ever YouTube video. I made a short film called Jimmy: The World of Warcraft story couple months back. It was a quick piece I thought up one day and the next day was submitted. Well literally overnight that movie generated more views then every single episode of my Unforgotten Realm series combined over a year. It's great for that movie but just like Splash Attack it's discouraging for series. I don't know, I'm sort of ranting right now because of how disappointed I am overall with my work. It's pretty frustrating to spend a lot of time on one piece but have something else get even more attention.

Anyway, I love Newgrounds to death but as long as this website glorifies the fads rather then it's series and original content, I can't see myself having that urge to want to make movies. Websites like Newgrounds will explode in the near future as television and internet merge into one and I just hope they get on the ball of being that sort of "Original Internet Movie" site before missing another myspace/youtube concept.
